Title IX
On May 19, 2020, the Secretary of Education amended the regulations implementing Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The new regulations took effect on August 14, 2020.
Title IX is a Federal Civil Rights Statute that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities that receive Federal financial assistance. The objectives of Title IX are to avoid the use of Federal resources to support discriminatory practices and to provide individual citizens effective protection against those practices.
Moniteau School District has policies and procedures to investigate any claim on sexual harassment from both students and employees. To file a claim or for further information, please contact the district coordinator.
The Moniteau School District does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates as required by Title IX and its regulations, including employment.
Inquiries about Title IX may be referred to Moniteau School District’s Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, or both.
Moniteau School Districts’ nondiscrimination policy and grievance procedures can be located under the board policies.
To report information about conduct that may constitute sex discrimination or make a complaint of sex discrimination please contact Dylan Beachem.
